India has launched its first anti-subsidy sunset review investigation on welded stainless steel pipes from China and Vietnam

On September 30, 2023, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice saying, Stainless Steel Pipe and Tubes Manufacturer Association (Delhi) and Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes Manufacturers Association (Gujarat) filed an application to initiate the first anti-subsidy sunset review investigation into Welded Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes originating in or imported from China and Vietnam.
The case relates to products under Indian Customs Codes 730644000, 73066100 and 73066900 and 73041110, 73041190, 73044100, 73045110, 730499000, 73051129, 73059099, 73061100, 73062 Some products under 100, 73062919, 73063090, 73065000, 73069011, 73069019 and 73069090.
The subsidy investigation period in this case is from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 (12 months), and the damage investigation period is from 2019 to 2020, 2020 to 2021, 2021 to 2022 and the subsidy investigation period.
Interested parties should submit relevant information to the investigating authority by E-mail (adg14-dgtr@gov.in, adv13-dgtr@gov.in, dd11-dgtr@gov.in and dd16-dgtr@gov.in) within 30 days from the date of filing.
